Pastéis de Belém
Pastéis de Belém is a Lisbon institution. They are most famous for their Pastel de nata which is a Portuguese egg tart pastry dusted with cinnamon. Their secret recipe has been drawing crowds from 1837. While those are some excellent pastries there is no good reason to go that far and not take the chance to sample all the other yummies on their menu. Pro tip: while there is always a giant line at the front for take-away there are side entrances to walk in to sit down and order more varieties and you could be done - and well-fed - in less time than it would take to stand in line out front.
